Bose headphones, wireless headphones, Bluetooth headphones, fitness, Bose,

I have officially been working out for over a year now; consistently in the gym chugging away at my weight loss and overall trying to live s  healthier lifestyle. Despite the fact that I’m losing inches and weight it’s still hard for me to make investments in fitness. I have gradually made purchases to help enhance my workout routine, the last of which was long overdue..wireless headphones.

Ladies, we all know the struggle of having to stuff your phone between your boobs while doing deadlifts or certain exercises that require the use of both your hands. My iPhone 6s is too large to fit into a pocket and is inconvenient to hold while I’m workout out. In the past I have opted to not listen to music simply because the cord wouldnt reach or get entangled.

I’ve been browsing for months trying to find a quality pair of wireless headphones specifically designed for fitness. I looked at jay bird, beats, and sennheiser, but nothing stood out. I’ve always been a fan of Bose so when I heard they finally tossed their hat into the fitness wireless game I quickly jumped on board.

It comes in a nice box case that’s pretty standard for any high-end wireless headphones. I actually had the people at Best Buy open the entire case in front of me because they didn’t have them on display and I wasn’t going to drop a whopping $180 on headphones I had never listed too. The headphones come with a charger: which they only give you a USB not an actual plug, a case with a clip, and three interchangeable earbuds: a great addition for people who have small earbuds and need something besides ” one size fits all”.

Bose headphones, wireless headphones, Bluetooth headphones, fitness, Bose,

These headphones come with three different earbuds with a hook to hang on to your inner lope. For security reasons I prefer To have an over the ear option but when I tried these on in store I wiggled they didn’t budge. It also has a small clip along the back of the wire so you can clip it onto your shirt while working out. I don’t use it but if you’re a runner, bike rider etc then it might be helpful. Along the wire is a remote button where you can pause, skip, and answer a phone call as well as adjust the volume. I do use this often but I will say it’s a little stiff. It’s not as easy to use as my apple headphones.

First Impressions

For starters let me say that I am no sound guru. I bought these headphones for the simple fact that they were wireless and from a company I genuinely like. I didn’t want black so I like the fact that I could chose different colors. Overall the sound quality is amazing but again this is just coming from an everyday customer. I know some people can say they can tell the difference between plug-in headphones and wireless, that the sound quality is comprised but I can’t tell anything.

The charge lasts for as long as the product claims too, although it took me a while to figure out how to actually turn it off. You can set it to automatically turn off via your phone after a certain time. Great for someone like me who’s usually exhausted after a workout and doesn’t remember to turn them off. The rubber earbuds are comfortable, but after testing them out I switched out the standard size for the small.  You also can download the Bose connect app, where you connect it to your devices and it tells you the battery percentage. When you turn the headphones on it tells you the battery percentage and what device it’s connected too.

Are they worth it?

Now down to the big questions: are they worth the investment? If you are someone heavily involved in fitness and are looking to make your workout more convenient then I would say yes. You could go with a more affordable brand but I think buying quality it is worth the payoff especially if you’re a consistent gym goer. If you want to use the headphones for everyday use I would suggest buying a different Bluetooth headphone. The battery life is not sufficient enough for all day so as of now I’m solely using them for the gym!

Have you had your eye on any new headphones lately?

Hey, guys! I’m back with a Luxury Haul of some items that have been on my wishlist for FOREVER! I love collecting handbags, and my recent trip to Europe was a perfect time to pick up some duty-free goodies!

Louis Vuitton Neverfull  GM

Louis Vuitton, LV, handbag, Neverfull GM, Monogram

Nothing says multifunctional, timeless, and quality better than the Louis Vuitton Neverfull. I have been obsessive over this bag for the past year. It would catch my eye anytime I saw someone with it, and anytime I could get my hands on it I did, just to make sure that when the time came to buy I had no regrets!
Louis Vuitton, LV, handbag, Neverfull GM, Monogram
Initially, I wanted the GM Damier Ebene but when I saw it up close it felt very masculine. The Monogram had the exterior that I wanted but I wasn’t all that impressed with the interior. I wanted the ballerina interior of the Damier Ebene with the exterior of the Monogram, but that wasn’t an option; so I opted for the Monogram with the brown interior.
** It was offered in a hot pink interior & although it was a fun color I felt like it wasn’t as timeless as the brown.
Louis Vuitton, LV, handbag, Neverfull GM,
The drawstrings on the side are used to cinch the bag inwards giving it a totally different shape. Im amazed this style isnt more popular becuase its one of my favorite ways to wear it. I rarely ever fill this to the brim so having the sides pinched in is the best way to keep the bag from getting in the way.
I primarily use this for work, but it also served as a great carry-on or a weekender bag. It comes with a de-teachable wristlet that I use separately when I’m running errands or out on a date. I’ll have a what’s in my purse post coming soon!.

Gucci Soho Crossbody

This bag sort of crept in towards the end of 2016. I had my heart set on the Chloe Marcie crossbody but when I read reviews that it wasn’t the most secure to travel with I began looking for alternative options. I commute to work every day and I travel often so security was important to me; especially when the items inside and the bag itself are very expensive.

What drew me to the Gucci Soho bag was the zipper and the many colors that it came in. I didn’t know anyone that had it so unlike the LV Neverfull, the first time I saw the Soho was in store when I was buying it. I chose the red color because of how bold and sexy it felt. Its statement bag, that could easily be dressed up or down. It looks great with an all black outfit for date night or a striped t-shirt dress and converse.

Celine Shadow Glasses

Ever since I bought my first pair of Celine glasses i knew I wanted to go back and buy the shadow glasses. My other Celine’s are a classic black and brown tortoise.I wanted my second purchase to be a fun seasonal color. I felt like the burgundy was unique enough without being too loud to where I couldn’t wear it every day if I wanted to.
They are super comfortable and I get compliments on them all the time. I prefer to wear them with my hair down just because the round bottom can bring out the roundness in my face, but other than that they go with anything!

If you’re a visual person like me then creating a wedding Pinterest board is an automatic must have.  I had a lot of concepts in my head but seeing it visually kept me inspired and organized. See below for some tips on how to create a Pinterest wedding board!

Just Start

Even if you don’t know the exact word to describe your wedding start pinning and eventually a theme will develop. Either a color pattern, a consistency in materials you like, etc. For example, I knew from the beginning that I wanted a lavender and ivory wedding. As I was pinning those things I noticed that all the pins I added to my board had rose gold accents. Eventually, I decided to incorporate rose gold in my overall wedding theme!

Separate your boards

If you’ve been planning your wedding gradually then you know your wedding Pinterest board is probably a thousand pins long now. As you can see above mine is at a whopping 956 Pins. Once the ring is actually on your finger and the date is set things pick up really quickly and you won’t have time to find that one pin you liked a year ago. My suggestion is to break everything out. A wedding dress board, a flowers board, reception vs ceremony etc. You can make them as detailed as you want, just depends on your preference. I actually did not do this and now almost 2,000 pins later I wish I had. It would have taken me too much time to go back and separate everything out into its right board. I try my best to make mental notes, which brings me to my next point…

Comment on the photos you pin

This will come extremely handy later down the line (when your 1000 pins deep) and you can’t remember what specifically made you pin that photo. I used the comment option quite often for my wedding dresses board. I would see a dress that had the bustier I liked, or the train I wanted. I may not have liked the whole dress so I would use the comment section to notate which part I did like.

Add your friends

If you’ve picked your bridesmaids early like me (almost 3 weeks after my engagement) then make sure to add them to your Pinterest wedding board so that they can post pins that go along with your theme. Since every pinner has different recommendations they may see something that may not ever end up on your feed. My maid of honor is especially crafty so I plan on having her pin some DIY things she might be able to help me do. Or if you hate planning but one of your bridesmaids loves to plan you can have her get started with some ideas. It’s such an easy way to have everyone pitch in, especially for those that live far away.

There are a million things you can do with your Pinterest board, the options are really endless but these were just some things I personally did that made my process run a lot smoother.

 Hope they help!

Let me start off by saying I NEVER shop like this. The most money I’ve spent at Sephora at one time has been $60. I’m what I like to call a cautious buyer. I read reviews, sample, buy the smallest version and then after I’ve worn and tested it for several months I finally buy the full size. So believe me when I say this is a tad bit out of character for me but nonetheless I’m really happy with everything I got!

Ps: grab a snack, this post is gonna be a long one.

makeup, primers, too faced hangover, smashbox primer, makeup forever mattyfying primer, dior everlasting

  1. Too Faced Hangover Primer: I have dry skin, so this was a no brainier. I currently use the Smashbox hydrating primer but I’m always in need of more!
  2. MUFE Mattifying Primer: you’re probably thinking “didn’t she just say she has dry skin?”. I do but I still get a little oily in my t-zone. I like to use a mattifying primer for when I’m using heavy liquid foundations, or on days when I need my makeup to last me all day.
  3. Dior Everlasting Primer: I’ve never bought high-end makeup before, but this one was a must. It’s been on my mind ever since I sampled it months ago. My motto is if you’ve thought about it for longer than a week then it’s your due diligence to buy it!
  4. Tatcha Skin Mist: This is a YouTube made me buy it. I love dewy skin and I’ve heard this is the ultimate skin mist. The price tag was hefty but worth the buy.
  5. Smashbox Primer Water: Running low on my Mac Fix plus, so I thought I would try this in the meantime. Bought the travel version just in case I don’t like it.

makeup, foundation, makeup forever, liquid foundation, powder foundation

  1. MUFE Ultra HD: As I’ve mentioned in this post I have a hard time finding my foundation shade. MUFE is known for its shade range, and Sephora color match sent me this way.
  2. Nars Velvet Matte Tint (returned): I ended up returning this item but for the short time that I had it, I loved it. Unfortunately, I don’t like foundations with SPF (the flashback kills me), so I swapped it out for MUFE ultra HD. I may repurchase it later but right now it’s too hard to tell what my summer shade would be.
  3. MUFE Duo Mat Powder: I haven’t found a good powder foundation in a while and I’ve heard good things about this one (again from YouTube). I’m lacking on powder brushes so I haven’t really used this yet, but the shade match is perfect!

Sephora Concealer Palette: This is something I haven’t seen anyone raving about. In the midst of the color correcting hype, I think this may have flown under the radar. Either way I love it! Full review coming soon.

KVD Shade and Light Eye Palette: I’m a little late on the bandwagon with this one but it really wasn’t on my radar until a few days ago. I like KVD (since the days of her doing tattoos on reality tv) and when I can support her brand I do.

abh, makeup, highlighters, becca champagne pop, fragrence, viktor & rolf,

  1. ABH That Glow: one can never have too many highlighters. I went into Sephora every day of the VIB sale and finally found this on the last day!
  2. Becca Champagne Pop: super late on picking this up but who can resist Becca highlighters. Officially the third in my collection!

  1. Benefit They’re Real Push-up Liner: I’ve heard this liner was the key to a good cat eye. Since I have yet to master it I’m hoping this liner will help.
  2. Tarteist Liner: This was sampled a while back and I loved the lasting power. The brush that they give you with the liner is amazing as well!

Too Faced Better Than Sex: Just a re-purchase. Favorite mascara ever. I even asked the Sephora sales associate if there was another mascara she would choose and she said better than sex was hard to beat!

Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb: Since my dance with marc jacobs daisy was a bust, I wanted to go for a warmer scent. I bought this on a whim because the sign in front of it said best seller. So far I LOVE IT.

What did you buy during the Sephora VIB Sale? Do you have any of the above products?

I am a sucker for luxury handbags. Some girls are obsessed with shoes, others jewelry, but I’m a designer handbag girl all the way. I’ve graduated from juicy couture daydreamer bag, to Michael Kors & Coach, and now on to Chloe, Celine & LV. I actually have to limit myself on how many handbags I can buy a year, otherwise my obsession can get out of control. I’m soon going to be a wifey and my husband to be does not support my luxury handbag habit ( tear). I have to be selective about which ones actually make it from wish list to wardrobe!. Here’s a few I’ve had my eyes on!

Chloe Marcie Crossbody $795

luxury handbags, chloe, crossbody, purses,

This little handbag popped into my life roughly 2 years ago, around the same time I became obsessed with my Celine sunglasses. I love the boho vibe of it and the fact that it comes in 3 different sizes. I’m very minimal when it comes to shopping so the small size would suffice for me. I’ve had my eye on the beige and gray, but I’ve also seen a burgundy color pop up during fall that looks gorgeous!

Chloe Paraty $1,990

chloe paraty, chloe bag, handbag, luxery items, purses

I just can’t get enough of this bag. I normally don’t like hobos but I think this has the perfect amount of slouch. The detailing is so unique to anything I’ve ever seen and the size of it would make for an easy work or travel bag. I don’t carry a lot with me as mentioned above but on days when I do have to pack a lot, a bag this size is perfect. I’m digging the navy color!

Chloe Drew $1,850

chloe drew, luxury handbags, purses, designer handbags

This one is fairly new to the list mainly because I felt like the Chloe Marcie would satisfy my crossbody needs. However, this has such a luxury feel that it would be amazing for a dinner date or night on the town. The hardware was utterly eye catching and would be a great spice up to my casual collection.

Givenchy Antigona $2,435

givenchy antigona, luxury handbags, purses, designer

Oh my gosh where do I even start with this handbag!  It’s been out for years and I’ve never given it the time of day. The price tag is hefty (starting at a whopping $2300) but it screams luxury to me. It comes in pebbled or smooth leather and I love the smooth version in a black. I can’t quite figure out what I would use it for since I feel like it’s too fancy for an everyday bag, but it would definitely be a fun “pick me up purchase” for days when I want to feel plush.

Do I sound like a crazy bag lady yet?

Dooney & Burke Florentine $398

dooney & burke, florentine, handbag, luxury, designer, purses

This is an oldie but goodie. When I was working in college my coworker had this bag and I fell in love with the velvet interior. On my scale of luxury Dooney & Burke doesn’t do it for me, but this bag has a special place in my heart. It’s affordable -in comparison to everything listed above- and the leather exterior makes it durable enough to use for work everyday. It also comes with a long strap so I can use it in my favorite way….as a crossbody. Extremely helpful during cold windy winters in SF when you want something that’s hands-free!

Whelp this post could go on for days but I figured I would end it here. Stay tuned to see which one of these gorgeous bags comes home with me!

Do you have any of the above? Which one is your favorite?
