Nars All Day Weightless Luminous Foundation ($48): I sure at this point this foundation has been talked about to death but let me just rave about it for a quick second! It’s AHMazing! I did a full review on it a few days ago so I won’t go into detail, but I will say that I still love it as much as I did the first day I got it. It is super long lasting and my face looks flawless. Bobby Pins Curved ($6): It’s probably weird to say that bobby pins have been one of my favorites this month, but I feel like these are worth mentioning. I don’t know if any of you have this problem but when you use straight bobby pins often times they wiggle out of place or you can see the end of the bobby pin sticking up. It’s been a huge pet peeve of mine since I use bobby pins to make my hair flat, I don’t like seeing it clearly sticking up on my head. I went to target and accidently took home curved bobby pins. At first glance, I wanted to return them but when I actually started using them I was glad I didn’t! They secure your hair way better than the regular bobby pins and the curve makes the pin bend down so it’s not sticking up on the end. These are perfect for sleek styled looks or a clean updo. Literally been my holy grail of hair products as of lately.
New Glasses ($225): Every year I get new glasses and usually just buy whatever my optician recommends, but this year I went in with a full concept of what I wanted. I was really going for the “Chic Geek” style, with a big square frame and a jet black color for boldness. I tried on just about every pair of glasses that fit in my insurance( I even tried on sunglasses and Men’s glasses) but couldn’t find a frame that was big enough. Finally, I tried the Calvin Klein (paid a little extra, but so worth it) in jet black and I’ve been loving it ever since. It did take a while for me to adjust since I was switching from a cat eye to a thick square frame but now I’ve completely embraced them. The best feature is that I added a sun tint to them so when I’m outside they automatically transition from glasses to sunglasses! Two for the price of one! =)
Google Calendar (Free): Ever, since we launched in the Grey we’ve had to organize and construct a blogging schedule that worked for both our lifestyles. Google calendar has been the most effective and helpful tool for managing all of our content. We both have access to the calendar and can add + change posts as we please. We also have it color coded so we can see what types of posts will be up that week. It also helps to see what the other person is writing so that we can bounce ideas off of each other!
Sephora Compact Mirror ($5): I recently got a new job( working at Gap HQ), and I have to commute roughly 30 miles a day. I have a great morning routine post on that coming soon, but sometimes there are some last minute touchups that I want to make during my commute. I’ve been usuing my front camera on my iphone, and it was working but I really wanted a mirror. Shockingly target and my local drugstores didn’t have any compact mirrors so I went to Sephora and found one on sale for $5!
Beauty Blender($19): I’m sure you’ve all seen this on someone’s favorites list by far, but it’s just now reaching mine. Mainly because I never really had a dire need to use it. I’m finally catching on to how multifunctional it actually is. When I first bought the Nars radiant foundation I was having a hard time blending it with my RT buffing brush, so I switched to using my beauty blender. It worked like Magic! I never wanted to use it for my foundation in fear that it may soak up too much product, but that hasn’t been the case at all. I’m actually considering buying a new one so that I can have one for my foundation and another for concealer and other purposes. It’s now my go-to for whenever my face brushes aren’t blending my makeup properly.
