I’m not usually into trinkets; especially things that come better dressed than I do. Am I the only one slightly embarrassed that Barbie looks a tad bit more chic than me? It’s only fitting since Chanel is by far one of the most iconic fashion labels of all time. As a minimalistic dresser I have always loved their classic silhouettes, details and not to mention the signature black and white pieces that just make everything feel so effortless. I wish….actually I dream of being able to afford Chanel and when I heard about the Barbie I thought it would be such a fun toy to have. At least then I could get just a little bit of Chanel greatness, even if it wasnt something I could actually wear. I was all for getting one until I found out that they are upwards of $200. Who pays that kind of money for a doll!!?? On eBay they have a few that are close to 2,000; in which case you mine as well buy yourself a few Chanel purses. I can undestand know collectors wanted to make that purchase but for others what’s the point? I love Chanel but is it worth that much for a doll? Thoughts?
There is a difference between clothes you like and clothes you will actually wear; if you’re lucky you can get both in the same outfit. When I was younger I constantly would buy pieces that I loved; I mean loveddddddddd on the mannequin + magazine + person walking down the street but when I finally took it home I had no clue what to actually do with it. So it just sat there collecting dust and over the years it got pushed farther and farther into my closet until finally I decided to part ways with it. Tags still on and all (sound familiar?)
Have you ever seen something and it instantly speaks to you? You’re either rambling from how amazing it is or you’re so filled with emotion you just can’t quite describe it. Well that’s exactly how I felt when I first saw these photos on because I’m addicted. In all the pictures you will see that the woman is leading which I think is utterly amazing, especially since we live in a world where the men tend to dominate. Growing up my mother was not only the backbone of my household but my entire family. She was and still is a strong independent mom and I have definitely emulated that in my day to day life and my relationships. Sometimes I have to take a step back and let my boo thang lead (which is very tough for my type a controlling personality..so pray for me), but I’m learning to embrace each journey as it comes whether I’m in charge or not. I’m also a huge traveler so seeing that all of these were taken in different locations screams Kierra. Neither one of us is world photographers but it would be neat for us as a couple to at least try! I would love to create a storyboard in our apartment of all the places we have been together. I prefer to tell stories from the beginning and since my BF and I have been together 4 years, I think it would be fun to try this maybe after we are married? As a way to document our new life together and the experiences we will have as a married couple. Oh or maybe do this with my mom since her and I both love to travel!-make it a mother and daughter thing? Either way it’s going to have to be a must try for me so definitely stay tuned!
What do you guys think? Who would you do this with?
Disclaimer: all of these photos were originally found on because im addicted
I’ve been using Clinique 3 step system( dry skin) for about 3 months now and I wanted to do an update on the product and the results I’ve gotten.
Here is a quick breakdown of the pro’s and con’s
When it comes to my friends I tend to be quite the gift giver. I’m that girl that spends days trying to decide what I want to get them, I never stick to budget, and I sometimes make myself stress about making the gift as perfect as possible. I say it’s thoughtful; my boyfriend would call me crazy. Agree to disagree shall we? Recently my best friend moved into a new apartment after a hectic breakup from her boyfriend. I knew that I wanted to do something to celebrate her independence and new journey but since she is 400 miles away I had to settle for sending her a gift. Most women naturally think after a bad breakup you either get your friend drunk, or if you’re in my case you send her a lovely ” so glad your over that douche” gift, but instead of focusing on her breakup I wanted to encourage her and help bring some life to her new home. I initially shopped around for a pre-made housewarming gift but I found that they either were overly expensive or had a whole bunch of nick knack’s that no one really uses. My friend doesn’t need cute crackers and salt n pepper shakers; she needs toilet paper and dishwashing liquid. Ya feel me? I couldn’t find anything I like so I resulted to making my own and figured I would share with you all some of the things to keep in mind when doing the same for one of your friends!
